We are not asking for experienced church planters or Bible school directors. We are asking for mature believers who can encourage and mentor VCI Directors around the globe.
We ask that you touch base with your Director once a month, by email or Zoom, whichever you prefer. VCI Directors are specifically instructed not to ask you for money or resources. This is a spiritual mentoring relationship. You can be a source of prayer support and a listening ear for the personal or family struggles, relationship issues, and other things ministry leaders commonly carry as they work to fulfill God's call on their lives. NOTE:This is more than an "add to my monthly newsletter list" relationship.
Financial resources, letters of invitation, or housing.
The VCI office will match you with a VCI Director, but it will be up to you to pursue the relationship beyond the initial introduction. Contact will only be by email at first. Your Director will not have your phone number, nor you theirs, unless that is something you choose to share later.
As a VCI mentor, you will also be invited to participate in VCI events held in Tulsa, such as our annual Global Livestream Gathering. Last year, over 700 VCI schools participated, with more than 13,000 in attendance, simultaneously translated into 11 languages.
